Strategic Cloud Engineer, App Modernization, Technical Delivery

Google is seeking a Strategic Cloud Engineer for their Public Sector Professional Services team, specifically supporting the Service Delivery team for the Global Public Sector. This role is crucial in ensuring customers maximize value from their Google Cloud Platform investments.

The position requires a blend of technical expertise and customer service skills to create exceptional customer experiences and empower client success with Google Cloud. The role focuses on maintaining high-quality customer engagements while building strong relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally.

As part of Google Public Sector, you'll be working with solutions purpose-built for enterprises, helping United States public sector institutions accelerate their digital transformations. The role involves significant responsibility in application development technologies, including team management and establishing processes for Service Delivery AppDev strategy.

Key responsibilities include creating centers of excellence around cloud application development, managing both full-time employees and contingent workforce, supporting pre-sales Statement of Work activities, and creating reusable artifacts for public sector business. The position requires strong technical knowledge combined with excellent communication skills to effectively engage with enterprise executives.

The role offers competitive compensation including a base salary range of $147,000-$216,000 plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. This position requires an active TS/SCI US Government security clearance with polygraph, indicating work on sensitive and important public sector projects.

The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of experience in system design or programming languages, along with significant experience in technical troubleshooting and partner/customer management. They should be comfortable translating business requirements into technology solutions and have experience with cloud migration projects.
