Job Description

Google is seeking a Technical Lead Software Engineer for their Chrome Enterprise Premium team, focusing on building services that protect data and users as work increasingly moves to the browser. This role combines leadership responsibilities with hands-on technical work in security and enterprise solutions.

The position involves working with a full-stack team across all devices and form factors, contributing to Chromium and building cloud infrastructure on Google Workspace. You'll be developing customizable AI services, management tools, and security features for organizations using Chrome. A key aspect of the role is collaborating with Safe Browsing, Google Workspace, and Cloud Security teams to bridge cloud offerings with Chrome's extensive reach.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in C++ development, leadership capabilities, and a background in building user-facing features. You'll be instrumental in developing security solutions that position Chrome as a cornerstone of enterprise Zero Trust architectures. This role offers the opportunity to work on Chrome, which is available across all major platforms and is built as an open source project to benefit the entire web ecosystem.

As part of Google's engineering team, you'll be working on technologies that impact billions of users, with opportunities to contribute to various areas including distributed computing, system design, security, and UI design. The role combines technical excellence with leadership, requiring both deep technical knowledge and the ability to guide and mentor other engineers.

  • 1.5 years of experience in a leadership role
