Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager Lead for Network Pricing to join their Technical Infrastructure team. This role requires a seasoned professional with 10 years of program management experience and 7 years in leadership roles. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecommunications, optical networks, and data services.

As a Technical Program Manager Lead, you'll be responsible for leading and inspiring a team of technical program managers, driving alignment across various engineering departments. You'll lead innovation and execution of mission-critical projects, working closely with product teams to understand customer requirements for pricing stability and transparency.

Key responsibilities include building metrics and data quality strategies, overseeing the delivery of networking pricing initiatives, and navigating complex challenges to maintain the pricing pipeline. Responsibilities For Technical Program Manager Lead, Network Pricing

  • Lead and inspire an organization of technical program managers with end to end ownership mindset, driving alignment amongst software engineering, network engineering, and partner organizations spanning Technical Infrastructure
  • Lead innovation and execution of mission-critical projects, working closely with product teams to understand customer requirements around pricing stability and transparency; flex between technical/methodological conversations and narrative-telling presentations at SVP/VP forums
  • Build metrics and data quality strategy and process so that we can consistently ensure we have the data needed to evaluate the effectiveness of network pricing strategies
  • Provide oversight of delivery across the complete portfolio of networking pricing initiatives
  • Navigate unprecedented complexity and ambiguity to sustain operation of the the pricing pipeline in spite of frequent architectural and demand changes

Requirements For Technical Program Manager Lead, Network Pricing

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 10 years of experience in program management
  • 7 years of experience in leadership role(s) with/without direct reports
  • Experience in telecommunications at carrier-class scale, with experience of optical networks, DWDM, IP and data services
