Job Description

Google Cloud Platform is seeking a Technical Solutions Engineer to join their Infrastructure and Serverless team. This role combines technical expertise with customer-facing responsibilities, focusing on helping customers succeed with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and Anthos deployments. The position requires strong technical knowledge in containerization, infrastructure, and debugging, along with excellent customer service skills.

As a Technical Solutions Engineer, you'll work directly with customers to resolve production issues, improve product readiness, and ensure optimal system availability and scale. You'll need to deeply understand Google Cloud's GKE/Anthos technology stack and be able to troubleshoot complex technical problems. The role involves collaborating with various internal teams, including engineering and product, to advocate for customer needs and drive product improvements.

Responsibilities For Technical Solutions Engineer, Infrastructure, Serverless

  • Work with customers on their production Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)/Anthos deployments
  • Develop understanding of Google Cloud's GKE/Anthos product technology and architectures
  • Act as consultant and subject matter expert for internal stakeholders
  • Work as a team of engineers/consultants that ensure customer support
  • Understand customer issues and advocate for their needs with internal teams

Requirements For Technical Solutions Engineer, Infrastructure, Serverless

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience
  • 2 years of experience in infrastructure, containerization (e.g., Kubernetes, Openshift, etc.) and web technologies
  • 2 years of experience in a customer-facing role with troubleshooting, code-reading and debugging in Python, Shell, Bash, Java or C/C++
  • Experience with Operating System (OS) like Linux Networking and System Design
