Staff Backend Engineer - Grafana Databases Pyroscope

Grafana Labs is seeking a Staff Backend Engineer to join their Grafana Databases Pyroscope team in a remote position based in Spain. This role is central to the development of Pyroscope, an open-source continuous profiling database that provides scalable storage and querying capabilities for application resource utilization insights.

The position involves working on implementing distributed systems to manage profile ingestion and queries effectively. As part of the backend development team, you'll collaborate closely with clients and Grafana Cloud teams to deliver profiling solutions for both on-premises and cloud environments at scale. The team has already accomplished significant projects, including implementing distributed systems, establishing instrumentation support for various programming languages, and enhancing Pyroscope plugins.

As a Staff Backend Engineer, you'll lead projects from conception to implementation, design and maintain essential systems, and take an active role in shaping the product roadmap. The role requires strong technical expertise, particularly in Go or similar languages, distributed systems, and cloud technologies. You'll also participate in on-call rotations and mentor team members.

The compensation package includes a base salary range of €91,286 - €109,544, plus equity and bonus opportunities.
