Staff Backend Software Engineer - Databases - Loki Ingest

Grafana Labs, a remote-first open-source powerhouse, is seeking a Staff Backend Software Engineer to join their Databases team. This role focuses on telemetry databases including Mimir (metrics), Loki (logs), Tempo (traces), and Pyroscope (profiles). These are OSS projects offered both as Cloud services and on-premise solutions.

The position involves working with multi-tenant distributed systems implemented in Go and running on Kubernetes across major Cloud providers (GCP, Azure, AWS). The team operates in a remote-first, global environment that values diversity and different perspectives.

As a Staff Engineer, you'll be instrumental in designing and building critical systems, driving projects from conception to production, and mentoring team members. The role requires strong technical expertise in distributed systems, excellent communication skills, and a passion for open-source development.

The compensation package includes a competitive salary range of €106,000 - €133,000 plus RSUs, giving team members ownership in Grafana Labs' success.
