Responsibilities For Lead Backend Engineer
- Lead the design and delivery of scalable, secure, and reliable backend systems
- Make architectural decisions on services, APIs, data models, and infrastructure
- Work closely with frontend, hardware, data, and product teams
- Apply AI tools to improve team velocity
- Set standards for backend engineering
- Support and mentor other engineers
- Own system reliability and performance
- Help evolve testing strategies, CI/CD workflows, and infrastructure patterns
Requirements For Lead Backend Engineer
- Experience in designing and delivering complex backend systems in production
- Deep technical expertise
- Product-focused engineering mindset
- Experience with AI tools
- Leadership experience in engineering
- Knowledge of REST APIs, distributed systems, and event-driven services
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases
- Cloud environment experience (AWS preferred)
