Job Description
HappyRobot is building a platform to deploy AI workers that automate communication, targeting the logistics industry by enabling AI agents to handle phone calls, emails, and messages for freight brokers, 3PLs, and other supply chain enterprises. As a Full-Stack Engineer, you will maintain thousands of concurrent AI agents with minimal latency, auto-scale AI deployments, and architect a fault-tolerant multi-region infrastructure.
In this role, you'll design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure. You will write code to automate operational tasks and improve system resilience, troubleshoot and optimize system performance, and collaborate with development teams on best practices. This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco, requiring employees to be in the office two to three days per week.
The compensation ranges from $160,000 to $250,000 annually, with competitive equity and visa sponsorship available (excluding new H1Bs). Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure
- Write code to automate operational tasks, build internal tools and improve system resilience
- Troubleshoot and optimize system performance, latency, and availability
- Collaborate with development teams to implement best practices for reliability and observability
- Manage incidents, post-mortems, and continuous improvements in production environments
Requirements
- Strong coding skills with Go
- Deep understanding of backend systems, APIs, and databases
- Kubernetes experience
- Passion for AI-driven technologies

- 3 - 10 years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on frontend development
