The position requires a skilled professional with 5+ years of experience in systems and software/hardware development, particularly in configuration management. You'll be responsible for implementing CM systems, ensuring information consistency, and managing PLM system implementation. The role involves working with various tools including Windchill/Palma, DOORS, Git, JIRA, and SAP.

Responsibilities For Configuration Management Engineer

  • Implements the Configuration Management system for the project/product
  • Ensures consistency of information in the configuration management system
  • Participates in analysis of contractual requirements for Configuration Management
  • Implements and maintains Configuration Management Plan activities
  • Manages PLM system implementation for configuration management
  • Creates Product Breakdown Structure (PBS)
  • Establishes Configuration Management baselines
  • Performs Functional Configuration Audits & Physical Configuration Audits
  • Maintains consistency of information in configuration management systems

Requirements For Configuration Management Engineer

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering
  • Minimum 5 years experience in monitoring Systems, Software/Hardware development
  • Extensive knowledge of CM practices and principles
  • Experience with CM software and hardware development processes
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills
  • Experience with version control and problem reporting tools
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Working experience with PLM systems (preferred Windchill/Palma)
  • Knowledge of Excel, DOORS, ClearCase/GIT, ClearQuest/JIRA, ERP (SAPByDesign)
