Responsibilities For Configuration Management Engineer
- Implements the Configuration Management system for the project/product
- Ensures consistency of information in the configuration management system
- Participates in analysis of contractual requirements for Configuration Management
- Implements and maintains Configuration Management Plan activities
- Manages PLM system implementation for configuration management
- Creates Product Breakdown Structure (PBS)
- Establishes Configuration Management baselines
- Performs Functional Configuration Audits & Physical Configuration Audits
- Maintains consistency of information in configuration management systems
Requirements For Configuration Management Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering
- Minimum 5 years experience in monitoring Systems, Software/Hardware development
- Extensive knowledge of CM practices and principles
- Experience with CM software and hardware development processes
- Strong problem solving and organizational skills
- Experience with version control and problem reporting tools
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Working experience with PLM systems (preferred Windchill/Palma)
- Knowledge of Excel, DOORS, ClearCase/GIT, ClearQuest/JIRA, ERP (SAPByDesign)
