Responsibilities For FPGA Engineer IV

  • Support FPGA scope of development, design, test, and manufacturing of electronic Motion Control products
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary project teams
  • Lead implementation of FPGA-based control systems
  • Perform individual design tasks
  • Participate in design reviews
  • Document designs
  • Interface with customers in technical role
  • Review work and tasks of other team members

Requirements For FPGA Engineer IV

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience
  • Experience with FPGA design for embedded systems
  • Proficiency in Verilog and VHDL
  • Experience with board-level communication interfaces (I2C, SPI, SerDes, UART/RS-422)
  • Documentation skills
  • Experience with source control systems (Git, SVN)
  • Prototype development, debugging, and testing experience
  • Experience in motion control and electromechanical systems for space environments
  • Brushed/Brushless DC Motor control knowledge
  • PID Control loop design and implementation experience
  • Knowledge of additional software languages (System Verilog, TCL, Python, C, C++)
  • Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink
