This role focuses on accelerating and improving code development accuracy during the migration from legacy Oracle systems to a modern data analytics platform. The position involves architecting and maintaining an AI automation sandbox environment using cutting-edge tools like Claude Code, GitHub Copilot Agent, and AWS Q. The ideal candidate will lead context engineering efforts, manage integrations with various systems, and serve as a technical resource across engineering teams. This remote position offers a competitive salary range of $118,730 - $201,840 and requires expertise in Python, SQL, AWS services, and AI/ML technologies. Responsibilities For Senior Automation Engineer
- Architect and maintain an AI automation sandbox environment
- Lead context engineering efforts
- Integrate and manage access to MCP servers, Unity Catalog, and legacy Oracle databases
- Collaborate with developers and data engineers to optimize workflows
- Report to the Technical Lead and serve as a technical resource across engineering teams
Requirements For Senior Automation Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, AI/ML, or a related field
- Experience with Generative AI and LLM-augmented code development tools
- Expertise in context engineering and agentic frameworks
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
- Familiarity with AWS services and infrastructure
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and DevSecOps practices
- Must be eligible for federal clearance and pass a background check
