This role combines software engineering leadership with AI expertise, focusing on Developer Experience (DevEx) and AI-powered developer tooling. Responsibilities For Technical Lead AI Software Engineer
- Design, build, and maintain AI-augmented developer tools, services, and workflows
- Lead initiatives to improve code quality, velocity, and team productivity
- Integrate AI into internal tooling (code review assistants, test generation, documentation)
- Partner with engineering leadership to identify and prioritize DevEx improvements
- Create tooling that integrates into CI/CD pipelines, IDEs, and development workflows
- Mentor other engineers on best practices for developer tooling and automation
- Advocate for developer experience across the company
Requirements For Technical Lead AI Software Engineer
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, with 2+ years in Developer Experience
- Deep understanding of software development workflows, CI/CD, Git, testing, and automation
- Hands-on experience integrating AI/ML models into engineering processes
- Proficiency in backend development and scripting languages
- Experience building plugins or extensions for developer tools
- Strong communication skills and empathy for developer pain points
