Staff SAP Developer

Illumina is seeking a Staff SAP Developer to join their team in Bengaluru, India. The position requires an experienced SAP professional with 8+ years of hands-on ABAP development experience, who will be responsible for leading technical deliverables across various SAP projects.

The role combines technical leadership with hands-on development, requiring expertise in modern SAP technologies including ABAP on HANA, S/4HANA, and the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP). You'll be working on critical systems that support Illumina's mission to expand access to genomic technology and realize health equity for billions of people around the world.

Key responsibilities include planning and overseeing technical deliverables, collaborating with stakeholders, active engagement in coding and debugging, and ensuring high-quality deliverables through code reviews and documentation. The position requires a strong foundation in core ABAP, experience with performance tuning in HANA environments, and familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
