Infleqtion, a pioneering deep-tech startup, is seeking a Senior Embedded Systems Engineer to join their Quantum Computing mission. This role combines cutting-edge quantum technology with embedded systems engineering, focusing on high-performance signal processing in programmable logic. The position offers an exciting opportunity to work with RF waveform synthesis, high-bandwidth control servos, and image processing in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
The ideal candidate will collaborate across multiple engineering domains, developing RTL using SpinalHDL and architecting processing chains for quantum applications. The role requires expertise in hardware descriptive languages, Linux environments, and modern software engineering practices. Responsibilities For Senior Embedded Systems Engineer
- Collaborate with physicists and across electrical, software, and opto-mechanical engineering domains
- Develop testable, performant, and scalable RTL using SpinalHDL
- Support hands on tuning and troubleshooting in laboratory environments
- Architect processing chains with supporting analytical models
- Implement modern software engineering practices including revision control, CI pipelines
- Participate in design, code, and data reviews
Requirements For Senior Embedded Systems Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or related field
- Minimum of 8 years prior work experience
- Expertise in hardware descriptive languages (Verilog, System Verilog, or VHDL)
- Comfortable working in Linux development environment
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good collaboration skills
- Skilled in software engineering disciplines
- Experience with AMD Xilinx programmable logic devices (preferred)
- Experience with RF waveform synthesis and processing (preferred)
- Familiarity with Embedded Linux OS distribution builds (preferred)
