Job Description

Infleqtion, a pioneering global quantum technology company, is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join their quantum computing platform team. This hybrid role, based between Kidlington, Oxford office and the National Quantum Computing Centre, Harwell, offers flexible working with up to 2 days remote work per week. The position combines network management, server administration, and CI/CD processes, requiring a blend of technical expertise in both systems engineering and software development. The ideal candidate will manage complex infrastructure, including embedded systems and hardware interfaces, while ensuring high system reliability and optimization. This role offers an unique opportunity to work at the intersection of quantum computing and DevOps, contributing to cutting-edge technology development. Responsibilities For Site Reliability Engineer

  • Network Management: Design, implement, and manage robust networks
  • Software Deployment: Manage Docker containers and orchestrate CI/CD pipelines
  • Infrastructure as code: Design, develop, and maintain IaC solutions
  • Collaboration and Documentation with software developers and hardware engineers
  • Developing Standard Operating Procedures for software deployments
  • System integration of embedded boards, computer systems, and hardware interfaces
  • System management and coordinate response to maintain high up-times

Requirements For Site Reliability Engineer

  • Excellent understanding of networking technologies
  • Proficiency with deployment and configuration management framework (e.g. Ansible)
  • Linux systems expertise
  • Bash scripting knowledge
  • Docker and/or Kubernetes experience
  • Git and version control-centric workflows
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years experience in related engineering field
  • Experience with complex networked systems and embedded systems
  • Professional-level verbal and written communication skills
