Senior Front End Engineer - Team Messenger

Intercom, founded in 2011, is revolutionizing online customer service with its AI-first platform. As a Senior Front End Engineer on the Team Messenger, you'll be at the forefront of building and iterating on our AI-first Messenger platform. You'll work in a multidisciplinary team, focusing primarily on developing features for our React Messenger front end with a Rails backend.

Your role will involve:

• End-to-end problem-solving, collaborating with design, product, and engineering teams
• Writing and shipping high-quality, well-tested React features
• Contributing to technical plans and React architecture
• Working on backend software using Ruby
• Shipping changes to production rapidly, including on your first day
• Mentoring other engineers and interviewing candidates

Key skills required:

• Deep knowledge of JavaScript and React
• Experience with a backend programming language
• Passion for building excellent UX/UI
• 4+ years of industry experience in software engineering, preferably in SaaS
• Collaborative experience with product teams and designers
