Senior Platform Engineer

JioStar, a prominent global media and entertainment powerhouse, is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join their Developer Productivity & Platforms group. This role represents a unique opportunity to architect fundamental infrastructure at a company that reaches over 750 million viewers weekly through its television network and streaming services.

The position combines traffic engineering with core platform responsibilities, focusing on managing API traffic across a global, multi-cloud environment. You'll be responsible for both external ingress (north-south) and internal service-to-service (east-west) communication, working with critical systems that form the backbone of JioStar's infrastructure.

As a Senior Platform Engineer, you'll be tasked with architecting resilient routing systems, implementing edge integrations with CDNs, and establishing observability hooks to ensure security, debuggability, and automation. A key project will be designing and building a unified traffic abstraction layer - a groundbreaking platform that will centralize control over routing, metadata inventory, and automated failover across multiple CDNs.

This hands-on role offers high visibility and impact, working across platform, SRE, and developer experience teams. You'll be at the forefront of ensuring infrastructure reliability, observability, and developer-friendly operations. The position requires strong programming skills in Python or Go, extensive experience with API Gateways, and proficiency in modern infrastructure tools like Kubernetes, Terraform, and Helm.
