Senior Staff Software Development Engineer

JioStar, a leading global media & entertainment powerhouse, is seeking a Senior Staff Software Development Engineer to join their backend engineering team in Bengaluru. This role sits at the heart of powering some of the largest live sporting and entertainment events streamed on the JioHotstar platform, reaching over 750 million viewers weekly.

As a Senior Staff engineer, you'll be instrumental in designing and building systems that operate at massive scale, particularly focusing on video Quality of Service (QoS) measurement and maintenance in real-time. The role involves working with multi-Content Delivery Network strategy and developing systems for intelligent traffic shaping based on video and API performance metrics.

The position requires 9-12 years of experience and combines deep technical expertise with leadership responsibilities. You'll be working with modern technologies including Java/Golang, various databases (MySQL, Cassandra, Redis, DynamoDB), and AWS services.
