Job Description

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Director of Software Engineering to join their Regulatory, Controls & Op Risk Technology (RCORT) team within Corporate Technology. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a software engineering leader to drive significant impact. As a Director, you'll lead a technical domain, managing teams, technologies, and projects across different departments. Your deep expertise in software, applications, technical processes, and product management will be crucial in overseeing multiple complex projects and initiatives.

The role is based in the Corporate Technology team, which supports all corporate functions across the network including Global Finance, Corporate Treasury, Risk Management, Human Resources, Compliance, Legal, and the Corporate Administrative Office. You'll be part of a team specifically built to meet and exceed evolving technology needs and technology controls agenda.

Key aspects of the role include leading technology implementations, executing software solutions, making strategic decisions about team resources and budget, and applying deep technical expertise to complex projects. You'll be responsible for governance accountability, delivering scalable technical solutions, and influencing stakeholders across business, product, and technology teams.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of software engineering experience, with 5+ years leading technologists. Strong expertise in cloud native technologies, system design, and modern development practices is essential. Experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and modern front-end technologies like React is preferred.
