Job Description

As a Lead DevOps Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Banking Team, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way.

You will be responsible for developing high-quality scripts, executing and automating release processes, and managing changes for applications and environments. The role involves coordinating with infrastructure, platform, and application experts to promote reliability through communication and sharing best practices.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and maintaining automation scripts and infrastructure code
  • Managing release processes and application environments
  • Contributing to engineering best practices and SDLC
  • Investigating and resolving production issues
  • Collaborating with various teams including SRE and Product Management

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Expertise in configuration management and CI/CD tools
  • Strong background in high-availability infrastructure
  • Proficiency in Python development
  • Experience with Electronic Trading and FIX protocol

Responsibilities For Lead DevOps Software Engineer

  • Contribute actively to the engineering community by advocating firmwide frameworks, tools, and Software Development Life Cycle practices
  • Coordinate with infrastructure, platform, and application subject matter experts
  • Investigate issues reported by Production Management

Requirements For Lead DevOps Software Engineer

Linux
Python
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of applied experience
  • Proficient with configuration management, build tools, and continuous integration environments such as Jenkins
  • Experience in identifying problem areas and implementing necessary fixes
  • Expertise in implementing and managing high-availability infrastructure solutions
  • Experience with Electronic Trading and FIX protocol
  • Proficiency in Python development
  • Knowledge of C++ is advantageous
