KBR's National Security Solutions team is seeking a part-time Modeling & Simulation Developer/Engineer to join their innovative defense technology initiatives. This role, based in Reston, Virginia, involves working with DARPA on cutting-edge modeling, simulation, and analysis projects. Responsibilities For Modeling & Simulation Developer/Engineer (Associate)

  • Collaborate with military subject matter experts and DARPA program managers
  • Characterize architectures and concepts under study in the simulation environment
  • Instantiate combat system, platform, and behavior models in simulation environment
  • Instantiate kill chains, battle management command and control relationships
  • Conduct assigned tasks in support of broader analytic or modeling effort
  • Contribute to the creation of quality deliverables and reports

Requirements For Modeling & Simulation Developer/Engineer (Associate)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline
  • Entry level knowledge of simulation analysis and experiment design & analysis techniques
  • Familiar with agent-based modeling and simulation
  • Familiarity with state machines
  • Skilled in C++ plus one or more of: R, Python, JupyterLab and/or Jupyter Notebook
  • Strong understanding of GitHub, BitBucket or similar software management repository
  • Must be a US Citizen with ability to obtain a Top Secret with SCI eligibility within 18 months
