The role involves developing internal tooling, enhancing platform security, providing guidance on security best practices, and managing security infrastructure. You'll work closely with the CISO and Head of Cyber Security to define strategic objectives and lead major initiatives.
The ideal candidate brings proven leadership experience in Security Engineering, with a deep understanding of security best practices and standards. Strong communication skills, particularly in asynchronous environments, are essential. Experience with cloud services (especially AWS), CI/CD security, and vulnerability management is highly valued.

Responsibilities For Lead Security Engineer
- Lead and manage a team of 4-6 Security Engineers
- Define strategic objectives and team direction with CISO and Head of Cyber Security
- Manage team priorities and ensure initiative completion within deadlines
- Deliver technical improvements
- Provide support for production systems
- Implement security processes and requirements
- Stay updated on emerging security threats and technologies
- Conduct code reviews and provide architectural guidance
- Support and grow team members through performance reviews and feedback
Requirements For Lead Security Engineer
- Proven experience in a leadership role within Security Engineering
- Strong background in Security Engineering with deep understanding of security best practices
- Excellent communication skills, especially asynchronous
- Experience in mentoring and coaching teams
- Experience in incident management
- Experience working with Cloud Service Providers and applications security
- Familiarity with AWS services
- Knowledge of CI/CD security best practices
