Job Description

KUBRA is seeking a Platform DevSecOps Engineer to join their growing DevOps team in a hybrid role based in Tempe, Arizona. This position combines software engineering and platform security, requiring expertise in Python/Go, Terraform, and Kubernetes to build and maintain their Internal Developer Platform (IDP).

The role focuses on empowering product teams by creating self-service infrastructure and streamlining automation while ensuring robust security integration. Key responsibilities include developing Terraform modules, implementing Kubernetes policies, and automating security workflows using tools like CircleCI and Argo CD. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in Platform Engineering or DevOps, with strong coding abilities and expertise in cloud technologies.

Working in a highly-regulated environment (SOC 2, PCI-DSS compliant), you'll be responsible for implementing security controls across CI/CD pipelines and providing guidance to product engineering teams. Responsibilities For Platform DevSecOps Engineer

  • Design, build, and operate KUBRA's Internal Developer Platform (IDP)
  • Strengthen security configuration of cloud platform environment with focus on Kubernetes
  • Develop reusable Terraform modules and Kubernetes policies
  • Enforce cluster-wide security guard-rails
  • Automate policy testing and drift detection
  • Automate build, test and release workflows using CircleCI and Argo CD
  • Support and improve IaC configurations for AWS managed services
  • Implement security findings pipelines
  • Engage with product teams to collect feedback and evolve platform backlog
  • Champion best practices for resiliency and security

Requirements For Platform DevSecOps Engineer

  • 4+ years in Platform Engineering, DevOps or Software Engineering
  • Coding experience in Go or Python
  • Deep expertise with Terraform and Git-Ops workflows
  • Hands-on operation of Kubernetes and AWS networking

  • Experience in highly-regulated environments (SOC 2, PCI-DSS)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
