Job Description
Layer is building accounting software and bookkeeping services API-first so they can be integrated directly into the SMB software platforms where business owners already work. With Layer, small business owners get a radically better accounting experience with frictionless integration. As a Fullstack Engineer (Frontend-Leaning) at Layer, you will plan and build products with developers and end users in mind. The ideal candidate will have 2-6 years of engineering experience, ideally in frontend, and will be passionate about Fintech or Vertical SaaS. You will be responsible for performing testing, deployment, and monitoring for the products you build, as well as acting as a technical point of contact for customers in the implementation phase. You will collaborate with a team passionate about helping SMBs, and participate in interviewing new candidates. The tech stack includes Kotlin, React, Ktor, Prostgres (RDS), Exposed, Kotest/JUnit, Github Actions, Containerized ECS service behind API Gateway, Betterstack & Sentry. Responsibilities
- Plan and build products (API-first accounting software and bookkeeping services) with developers and end users in mind
- Perform testing, deployment, monitoring for the products that you build
- Act as a technical point of contact for customers in the implementation phase
- Collaborate with a team passionate about helping SMBs and the people involved
- Interviewing other new candidates
Requirements
- 2-6 years of experience in engineering (ideally frontend)
