Job Description

Join the LEGO Games team as a Senior Unreal Engine Developer in Billund, Denmark, where you'll be part of shaping the future of LEGO® Games. The team is responsible for all game products across the LEGO Group, with the ambition to create the most fun, creative, and collaborative games based on the LEGO Idea. You'll be working with various Game engines, building tooling and systems that support the LEGO® GAME product portfolio.

In this role, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing custom Unreal Engine plugins, developing efficient asset pipelines, and creating robust automation systems. The position requires expertise in C++, Unreal Engine, and a strong understanding of build systems and version control tools. You'll be working in a collaborative environment where quick iteration and feedback loops are essential.

Responsibilities For Senior Unreal Engine Developer – Help shape the future of LEGO® Games

  • Design, implement, and maintain editor extensions and custom Unreal Engine plugins
  • Develop efficient asset and content pipeline tools to support artists, designers, and engineers
  • Create robust automation systems for importing, processing, and validating game assets
  • Collaborate with teams and departments within the LEGO group to ensure consistent asset pipeline and connected experiences
  • Perform quick iteration and feedback loops while working with the team

Requirements For Senior Unreal Engine Developer – Help shape the future of LEGO® Games

  • Several years of professional experience working with Unreal Engine
  • Strong understanding of UE Editor APIs, Blueprint system, and plugin development
  • Proven proficiency in C++, with track record of architecting complex systems
  • Solid knowledge of the Unreal Build System and Reflection System
  • Experience with build systems, CI/CD pipelines, and version control tools (Perforce and Git)
  • Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills
  • Comfort working in a prototyping environment and embracing iterative development
