This role serves as a crucial bridge between Software and Art teams, focusing on developing cutting-edge technology and content for land-based gaming. The position requires expertise in Unity development and C# programming, with responsibilities spanning from implementing software systems and art assets to optimizing performance and creating tools for workflow enhancement.

The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of game development experience and strong technical skills in C#, Unity, and shader development. They'll work in a hybrid environment (3 days onsite) at the Silverwater, Australia location, contributing to next-generation slot games development. The role combines technical expertise with creative elements, requiring close collaboration with both engineers and artists to ensure high-quality game delivery.

Responsibilities For Unity Software Engineer

  • Create and implement Software Systems, Art Assets, Game Engine Assets, Shaders and Real-time Visual Effects
  • Work closely with Engineers and Artists to ensure product meets requirements
  • Identify and solve technical issues related to the art pipeline
  • Provide technical feedback to ensure optimized assets
  • Document and evangelize best practices
  • Create tools and scripts to optimize Unity workflow
  • Profile/Debug game performance
  • Optimize Software and Art
  • Stay up to date with industry advancements

Requirements For Unity Software Engineer

TypeScript
  • 1-3 years Game Development Studio experience
  • Experience with versioning software (Perforce preferred)
  • Experience creating motion graphics or animations
  • Software Engineering (C#) skills
  • Unity development experience
  • Tool development (C# and Python)
  • Knowledge of 2D and 3D graphics
  • Working knowledge of Shaders
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Understanding of UI/UX principles
  • Self-motivated with ability to work on multiple projects
