Description For Sr. Staff Design Verification Engineer

Lightmatter, a pioneering company in AI data center infrastructure valued at $4.4 billion, is seeking a Senior Staff Design Verification Engineer to join their innovative team. The company has revolutionized the industry with their groundbreaking 3D-stacked photonics engine, Passage™, designed for extreme-scale data centers and advanced AI workloads.

In this role, you'll be at the forefront of cutting-edge technology, working with a dynamic, interdisciplinary team of brilliant scientists and engineers. You'll be responsible for developing and implementing sophisticated verification strategies for complex digital, photonic, and analog designs. The position requires expertise in UVM testbench techniques, Real Number Modeling (RNM), and AMS verification methods.

The ideal candidate will bring 12 years of design verification experience, strong SystemVerilog knowledge, and Python programming skills. You'll work closely with the Architecture team to understand system requirements and lead performance verification efforts. This role offers unique opportunities to expand your expertise across various domains, including UVM, AMS modeling, mixed-signal verification, and formal verification.

Responsibilities For Sr. Staff Design Verification Engineer

  • Collaborate with digital, photonics, and analog design teams to develop comprehensive test plans
  • Design and implement UVM testbenches for subsystem-level and full-chip verification
  • Debug testbenches and resolve issues
  • Achieve high coverage and oversee Design Verification sign-off
  • Develop Real Number Models for photonics and analog circuits
  • Conduct AMS verification with UVM
  • Contribute to Golden Reference Model development
  • Execute emulation and formal verification

Requirements For Sr. Staff Design Verification Engineer

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • 12 years of design verification and SystemVerilog experience
  • 2+ years of experience in python
  • Expertise in developing the UVM library
  • Experience with simulators like Xcelium, ModelSim, Questa, or VCS
