Senior Mobile Developer (Android)

Lightspeed Commerce is seeking a Senior Mobile Developer (Android) to join their team in Auckland, New Zealand. As part of a 7-person team, you'll be responsible for developing products designed to optimize retail merchants' workflows through mobile devices.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing the widely-used Android inventory management app
• Writing clean, well-tested code and maintaining high-quality standards
• Conducting code reviews and keeping branches small and frequent
• Offering technical guidance and input on decisions impacting other teams
• Planning the technical approach for the Android platform
• Collaborating with engineers, product managers, and designers
• Building top-tier Android products using a modern tech stack

The ideal candidate should have:

• Extensive experience as a Senior Android Engineer
• A track record in building and distributing apps with a large user base
• Deep expertise in coding complex Android applications using Kotlin
• Strong grasp of mobile application design principles
• Willingness to mentor and support other engineers
