Limit Break, a pioneering force in mobile gaming backed by Buckley Ventures & Paradigm Ventures, is seeking a Staff Unity Engineer for an exciting new venture. This role presents a unique opportunity to lead the development of a cutting-edge, mid-core 3D mobile game from concept to reality. The position combines technical leadership with hands-on development, requiring expertise in Unity 3D game development and a proven track record in live service mobile games.

The ideal candidate will work with a small, dynamic team initially to craft and refine the game's prototype, ensuring alignment with executive stakeholders. As the project scales, they'll be responsible for growing the team from pre-production to full production, collaborating across various disciplines. This role demands both technical excellence and leadership skills, with responsibilities ranging from architectural decisions to code optimization and team guidance.

Responsibilities For Staff Unity Engineer

  • Provide technical direction and guidance to the team, making architectural decisions and ensuring best practices
  • Write and review code, optimize performance, and tackle complex technical challenges
  • Oversee development process, set milestones, and ensure team meets deadlines
  • Lead design and implementation of new Unity 3D game project from prototype to production
  • Collaborate with design leads and team members on game prototype iteration

Requirements For Staff Unity Engineer

  • 5 years of experience with Unity 3D game development
  • Strong sense of initiative and ownership
  • Experience building games from prototype to launch with Unity

  • Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with F2P gaming
  • Experience with AWS and cloud-native applications
  • Knowledge of Unity plugins and assets
