You'll be working with server components, conducting Linux OS troubleshooting, and managing physical network connectivity issues. The role requires working on-site, with potential evening or overnight shifts (3:00 PM – 12:00 AM or 11:00 PM – 8:00 AM).

As an Associate Engineer, you'll be responsible for executing break-fix repairs, installing new storage components, and managing the Jira ticket queue. You'll also play a key role in training and mentoring contracted data center technicians, helping maintain consistent service delivery across LinkedIn's data center operations.

Responsibilities For Associate Engineer, Data Center (Manassas, VA)

  • Perform break-fix repairs including replacing failed drives, DIMMs, fans, power supplies, and other server components
  • Troubleshoot and resolve escalated issues from contracted technicians
  • Install new SSD's and NVME's into existing servers
  • Conduct basic Linux OS and IPMI-level troubleshooting
  • Diagnose and resolve physical-layer network connectivity issues
  • Execute hardware installations and repairs
  • Monitor and manage Jira ticket queue
  • Train and mentor contracted data center technicians
  • Participate in on-call rotation
