Responsibilities For Software Architect
- Collaborate with other teams to determine functional and non-functional requirements for new software or applications
- Develop high-level product architectures that can elegantly integrate into the existing systems
- Define all aspects of development from appropriate technology and workflow to coding standards
- Effectively communicate all concepts and guidelines to development team
- Perform code and data reviews to ensure consistency with initial design
- Provide technical guidance and coaching to technical staff
- Ensure software meets all requirements of maintainability, security, scalability, extensibility, and performance
Requirements For Software Architect
- Proven experience architecting cloud native software systems in a collaborative environment
- A technical mindset with great attention to detail
- Experience in software development and coding in several languages
- Knowledge of all aspects of the software lifecycle: design, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring
- High quality organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical team members
- Brave, creative and innovative. Not afraid to take calculated risks and push the envelope on technical choices
- Well versed in multiple cloud providers: AWS, GCP, Azure
- Experience with infrastructure automation technologies
- Deep understanding of DevOps principles
- Thorough understanding of cloud platform services, knowing when to use them and when to avoid them
- Knowledge of multiple programming languages and data persistence technologies...and the ability to learn other quickly
