Description For Software Architect

Responsibilities For Software Architect

  • Collaborate with other teams to determine functional and non-functional requirements for new software or applications
  • Develop high-level product architectures that can elegantly integrate into the existing systems
  • Define all aspects of development from appropriate technology and workflow to coding standards
  • Effectively communicate all concepts and guidelines to development team
  • Perform code and data reviews to ensure consistency with initial design
  • Provide technical guidance and coaching to technical staff
  • Ensure software meets all requirements of maintainability, security, scalability, extensibility, and performance

Requirements For Software Architect

Kubernetes
Linux
  • Proven experience architecting cloud native software systems in a collaborative environment
  • A technical mindset with great attention to detail
  • Experience in software development and coding in several languages
  • Knowledge of all aspects of the software lifecycle: design, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring
  • High quality organizational and leadership skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical team members
  • Brave, creative and innovative. Not afraid to take calculated risks and push the envelope on technical choices
  • Well versed in multiple cloud providers: AWS, GCP, Azure
  • Experience with infrastructure automation technologies
  • Deep understanding of DevOps principles
  • Thorough understanding of cloud platform services, knowing when to use them and when to avoid them
  • Knowledge of multiple programming languages and data persistence technologies...and the ability to learn other quickly
