Description For L2 Technical Support Engineer

LocalStack is seeking an L2 Technical Support Engineer to join their team. This role involves troubleshooting complex technical issues, collaborating with development teams, and ensuring high customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, technical expertise in cloud technologies, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with the development team to resolve complex technical issues
  • Working hands-on with LocalStack users to maximize platform utilization
  • Reproducing and documenting customer-reported issues
  • Creating reproduction samples for engineering ticket resolution
  • Suggesting and capturing relevant documentation
  • Managing cases throughout the entire support lifecycle

Required skills:

  • Strong English communication skills
  • Comprehensive understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Basic scripting and programming experience
  • Knowledge of development tools, operating systems, and databases
  • Ability to read and analyze application logs
  • Strong organizational and teamwork skills

Nice-to-have qualifications:

  • Previous technical support experience
  • Experience with debugging tools and methodologies
  • Familiarity with Git, GitHub, and containerization technologies
  • AWS certifications

Responsibilities For L2 Technical Support Engineer

  • Collaborate with the development team to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
  • Work hands-on with LocalStack users to help them get the most out of the platform
  • Reproduce customer reported issues and capture the reproduction steps
  • Create reproduction samples to facilitate ticket resolution by engineering
  • Suggest relevant documentation to assist customers in troubleshooting
  • Capture missing documentation to facilitate continuous improvement
  • Manage cases throughout the entire support lifecycle
  • Help to shape the product
  • Assist the LocalStack team with internal support

Requirements For L2 Technical Support Engineer
