Job Description

Lyst, a leading global fashion shopping platform serving 160M shoppers annually, is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to join their team in London. The role offers an exciting opportunity to work on customer-facing analytics ingestion pipelines that drive business intelligence and decision-making. As part of the Data Platform team, you'll work with cutting-edge technologies including Python, AWS, Snowflake, and Kubernetes in a fast-paced, autonomous environment.

The position requires expertise in developing robust data pipelines, with a strong focus on data quality and integrity. You'll be responsible for maintaining and improving systems that handle high-volume traffic, implementing monitoring solutions, and ensuring data consistency across platforms. Responsibilities For Data Platform Engineer

  • Contribute to system code, tests, and infrastructure changes
  • Implement and improve monitoring and observability tools
  • Write resilient and well-tested code
  • Maintain and improve customer facing analytics ingestion pipelines
  • Review data contracts and ensure data integrity
  • Participate in team ceremonies
  • Work with cloud and data warehouse infrastructure (AWS, Cloudflare, Snowflake)

Requirements For Data Platform Engineer

Python
Kubernetes
  • Experience in developing robust and secure software solutions and data pipelines
  • Effective communication skills
  • Proficiency in developing with Python
  • Experience with public cloud technologies (preferably AWS)
  • Experience with containers (Docker) and container orchestration
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
  • Experience with monitoring, observability and logging tools
  • Experience with git, gitOps, github actions
  • Experience with cloud data warehouse/data platforms (Snowflake)
