Data Engineer

Manulife is seeking a Data Engineer to join their team in a role that's critical for developing and maintaining the company's data systems and architecture. The position involves collaborating with data engineers, architects, and governance teams to design, develop, and deploy data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration solutions.

The role focuses on working with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and other Azure services to build scalable data solutions. You'll be responsible for developing and maintaining data architecture, including models, schemas, and dictionaries, while ensuring data quality and consistency across various sources.

Key responsibilities include designing ETL/ELT pipelines, maintaining data architecture, integrating data from multiple sources, and ensuring compliance with data governance policies. You'll work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business teams to understand and meet data requirements.

The ideal candidate should have 4+ years of data engineering experience, strong knowledge of Azure services, and expertise in data warehousing concepts. Programming skills in Java, Scala, Python, SQL, and R are required, along with experience in Agile methodologies.
