Job Description
Master Works is seeking an AI API Developer to join their AI Core Delivery team within the AI & Analytics CoE. This role focuses on building secure, scalable API services to integrate large language models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, and agentic AI capabilities into enterprise systems. The position requires expertise in backend development, API design, and AI integration, with a strong emphasis on security and scalability.
The role involves developing RESTful APIs, implementing enterprise-grade authentication, managing database solutions, and optimizing performance through caching and load balancing. The developer will work closely with LLMOps engineers to deploy AI models and create robust monitoring solutions. Security and compliance are key aspects, including implementing access controls and ensuring data privacy standards.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled developer with experience in modern cloud platforms, containerization, and AI/ML integration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python, Go, or Node.js, along with knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure-as-code. Responsibilities For AI API Developer
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs to handle user interactions, queries, and AI-generated responses
- Integrate APIs with internal systems, external data sources, and enterprise applications
- Implement scalable database solutions to store user queries, responses, and analytics
- Optimize API performance with caching mechanisms, load balancing, and multi-cloud readiness
- Develop robust logging and monitoring solutions
- Collaborate with LLMOps engineers to deploy and manage LLMs
- Enable agentic AI capabilities
- Support evaluation pipelines to measure AI performance
- Implement strong access controls and data encryption
- Participate in CI/CD workflows for API deployment
- Debug backend/API issues and authentication errors
Requirements For AI API Developer
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience in API development (REST/GraphQL) using Python, Go, or Node.js
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure-as-code
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience integrating AI/ML models or LLMs into production environments
- Understanding of authentication protocols (OAuth2, SAML, SSO)
- Knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines and vector databases
- Experience with agentic AI systems and tool integrations
- Familiarity with multi-cloud environments
