Cybersecurity Implementation Engineer
Job Description
Maveris, a veteran-owned IT and cybersecurity services company, is seeking a Cybersecurity Implementation Engineer to join their team. This role focuses on supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) by deploying Palo Alto's Prisma Cloud tools across multiple environments. The position requires expertise in both security principles and technical aspects of cloud, on-premises, and hybrid infrastructures.
The role involves implementing and configuring Prisma Cloud solutions, including deploying the Cloud Console and Defenders across various workloads in public clouds, on-premises data centers, and hybrid environments. You'll work alongside Palo Alto Networks SMEs to translate security requirements into actionable configurations, integrate with CI/CD pipelines, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
As a Cybersecurity Implementation Engineer, you'll serve as a subject matter expert for post-deployment issues, performing fault isolation and root cause analysis. The position requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience with Agile project management methods. Responsibilities For Cybersecurity Implementation Engineer
- Install, configure, and integrate Prisma Cloud into customer's IT ecosystem
- Deploy Prisma Cloud Console and Defenders across workloads
- Translate security requirements into configurations within Prisma Cloud
- Integrate Prisma Cloud into CI/CD pipelines and IT workflows
- Perform fault isolation and root cause analysis
- Monitor and manage system's security posture
- Document deployment process and provide knowledge transfer
Requirements For Cybersecurity Implementation Engineer
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of implementing cybersecurity tools in a federal environment
- Strong understanding of Palo Alto Prisma Cloud and its configuration
- Experience with Agile project management methods
- Working knowledge of program/project management software
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
- Strong leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively
