The position involves leading a team of test engineers in developing and executing test plans for both software and hardware components of our autonomous vehicle fleet. You'll be working with cutting-edge technology, including simulation environments and autonomous driving algorithms, while collaborating closely with Autonomy and Systems Engineering teams.
Your responsibilities will span from designing complex test scenarios to validating autonomous driving algorithms, including perception, planning, and control systems. The role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of safety-critical systems testing.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of experience testing complex safety-critical systems, preferably in an automotive context. You should have strong programming skills in languages like Java or Python, familiarity with Linux-based systems, and experience with autonomous vehicle simulation tools. Your background should demonstrate the ability to pioneer new testing processes and mentor other engineers.

Responsibilities For Senior Test Engineer
- Guide a team of test engineers in developing and executing comprehensive test plans
- Champion product quality and validation throughout development
- Interpret test results and ensure compliance with quality standards
- Work with Autonomy and Systems Engineering teams
- Document issues encountered during testing
- Contribute to product quality metrics
- Create and manage processes for vehicle validation testing
- Conduct testing of simulation environments

Requirements For Senior Test Engineer
- Bachelor's degree in engineering
- 5+ years experience testing complex safety-critical systems
- Valid driver's license and clear driving record
- Experience using Linux-based operating systems
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to construct and plan tests without precedent
- Experience with autonomous vehicle simulation tools
