Responsibilities For Software Support Engineer
- Provide engineering support and service leadership for complex customer technical issues
- Diagnose application defects, database defects, server/domain/client environment issues
- Work with existing system software and remote development team
- Document activities in databases (JIRA, WIKI, STASH)
- Participate in cross functional teams on feature design and requirements
- Provide on-call support over weekends/evenings/holidays
- Interface with McKesson R&D programs
- Support onsite troubleshooting with remote developer assistance
Requirements For Software Support Engineer
- 6+ years experience providing technical support and/or in-field work within Software Development
- C# and/or Java programming experience required
- .NET experience
- Experience writing queries and reports in relational databases
- Experience in a customer-facing role with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good understanding of Microsoft Windows and Windows domains, servers, workstations
- Experience with troubleshooting software and hardware issues remotely
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
