Responsibilities For R&D Engineer II
- Design and develop patient monitoring consumables for optical physiologic sensing applications
- Lead mechanical design of sensors including CAD modeling, prototyping, and design for manufacturability
- Conduct material testing and finite element simulation
- Plan and conduct experiments for proof of concept, verification, and validation
- Define subsystem requirements with traceability to user needs
- Support design transfer to manufacturing and provide engineering input
- Execute mechanical design using SolidWorks
Requirements For R&D Engineer II
- Bachelor's degree required
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years experience
- Design engineering and CAD (SolidWorks) expertise
- Experience with engineering analysis tools (Matlab, Minitab, Excel, Ansys)
- Degree in Mechanical, Biomedical or Materials Engineering preferred
- Experience with tissue and optics or optomechanical systems
- Familiarity with medical device regulations and standards
