Responsibilities For R&D Engineer II

  • Design and develop patient monitoring consumables for optical physiologic sensing applications
  • Lead mechanical design of sensors including CAD modeling, prototyping, and design for manufacturability
  • Conduct material testing and finite element simulation
  • Plan and conduct experiments for proof of concept, verification, and validation
  • Define subsystem requirements with traceability to user needs
  • Support design transfer to manufacturing and provide engineering input
  • Execute mechanical design using SolidWorks

Requirements For R&D Engineer II

Python
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years experience
  • Design engineering and CAD (SolidWorks) expertise
  • Experience with engineering analysis tools (Matlab, Minitab, Excel, Ansys)
  • Degree in Mechanical, Biomedical or Materials Engineering preferred
  • Experience with tissue and optics or optomechanical systems
  • Familiarity with medical device regulations and standards
