Job Description

Medtronic's Robotic Surgical Technologies Business Unit is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their innovative team working on robotically assisted surgery (RAS) solutions. This role combines cutting-edge robotics technology with healthcare innovation, focusing on developing software tools that interface with Hugo robots to enable less invasive surgical procedures.

Responsibilities For Sr. Software Engineer - Surgical Robotics

  • Create and maintain software tools in support of surgical robotics as part of a collaborative agile team
  • Design and develop software tools in C++ and/or Javascript that interface with Hugo robots
  • Develop requirements with a cross-functional team
  • Triage defects, develop software unit tests, and review testing protocols
  • Analyze software for failure modes and develop risk mitigation solutions
  • Contribute to software documentation and architecture
  • Participate in design reviews and ensure compliance with quality management system
  • Work in an Agile Scrum team environment

Requirements For Sr. Software Engineer - Surgical Robotics

JavaScript
  • Bachelor's Degree with 4 years of relevant experience or Advanced degree with 2 years of experience
  • Experience developing software in C/C++ with object-oriented and functional programming
  • Experience developing software in JavaScript or related framework
  • Experience developing for Windows applications
  • Must work in-person at least 4 days per week
