Description For RF System Validation Engineer

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge wireless technology areas including LTE, 5G NR, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth for Meta's products. As an RF System Validation Engineer, you'll be part of the team developing next-generation AR/VR technologies at Meta Quest and Facebook Reality Labs.

The position requires a strong background in RF systems and electrical engineering, with hands-on experience in testing and validation. You'll be responsible for defining test plans, performing RF system validation, and working closely with cross-functional teams to solve complex technical challenges. The role combines technical expertise with project management skills, requiring both practical RF knowledge and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities For RF System Validation Engineer

  • Define test plans, perform RF system validation and debugging, maintain and organize test data, and present findings to cross-functional teams
  • Track and debug RF issues from the lab or field, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop mitigation plans
  • Maintain and optimize internal test systems and develop new automated test systems
  • Responsible for factory RF test station bring-up, data collection and analysis, issue debugging, and verification of fixes
  • Support wireless certification processes

Requirements For RF System Validation Engineer

Python
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Practical experience of RF system-level parameters and trade-offs
  • Proficient in RF test methodology and troubleshooting, RF tester setup, bench rework, and debugging
  • Hands-on experience with lab equipment, including spectrum analyzers, call boxes, Vector Network Analyzers, VNAs, power meters, power dividers, RF switches, etc.
  • Working knowledge of at least one wireless communication system, such as Cellular (NR, LTE, WCDMA, GSM), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, etc
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, collaboration and cross-function team work
