Description For Asset Management Engineer

In the Asset Management Engineer role, you will work alongside a dynamic team of industry professionals across the Critical Environments (CE) spectrum within Microsoft's 24x7x365 mission-critical datacenters (DCs). You will serve as a mission critical infrastructure subject-matter-expert, developing, maintaining, and delivering global programs. Your primary focus will be to drive the safe, secure, and reliable maintenance and operation of critical infrastructure equipment, ultimately driving maintenance strategies aligned with Reliability Centered Maintenance practices. You will optimize maintenance and replacement strategies, maintain an accurate database of critical CE assets, evaluate and report on asset health, develop risk profiles, deliver risk mitigation plans, analyze costs, and track asset performance. You will also develop and distribute maintenance strategies, collaborate with stakeholders, conduct cost and risk assessments, develop critical spares lists, and optimize global maintenance programs.

Requirements For Asset Management Engineer

  • 12+ years relevant technical project management, program management, mission critical electrical infrastructure operation and maintenance, or electrical engineering experience
  • OR Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience
  • OR Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience
  • OR Doctorate Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience
  • Advanced ability to create clear, consistent, and understandable technical documentation
  • Advanced understanding of large-scale critical infrastructure
  • Experience creating and/or executing large-scale maintenance and reliability programs
  • Proven experience communicating with key stakeholders and senior leadership
  • Ability to analyze large sets of data with experience utilizing PowerBI for data analysis
  • Proven experience driving standards and consensus across teams and disciplines
  • Proven ability to manage, prioritize and successfully execute multiple concurrent mission-critical projects
