Job Description

Microsoft's Azure Customer Experience (CXP) team is seeking an Azure Advanced Cloud Engineer 2 focused on Strategic Azure Customers. This role is part of the ACES Strategic team (Advanced Cloud Engineering & Supportability), a global engineering team dedicated to turning Microsoft Cloud customers into fans.

As an Azure Advanced Cloud Engineer 2, you'll be the primary engineering contact for customer support experience on Azure. You'll work closely with Customer Success Account Managers, Cloud Solution Architects, and Technical Support Engineers to resolve critical problems and support key customer projects. The role requires expertise in cloud technologies including Core IaaS, Data Platform, PaaS Services, and monitoring technologies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Tracking and resolving customer incidents with minimal oversight
  • Providing technical troubleshooting and diagnostics
  • Serving as a connection point between product teams and customers
  • Conducting root cause analysis and driving improvements
  • Managing critical escalations and offering proactive guidance
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions

The ideal candidate should have 2+ years of experience in technology industry or cloud support, strong technical skills in Azure services, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for customer success. Requirements For Azure Advanced Cloud Engineer 2 – Customer Focus

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Data Analytics/Science, AI, or related field
  • 2+ years experience in technology industry, cloud, technical support, or customer experience engineering
  • 2+ years experience supporting and troubleshooting enterprise level applications
  • 1+ years experience with on-call and mission critical incidents
  • Experience with Cloud technologies (IaaS, PaaS, Data Platform)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check
