Job Description

Microsoft's Azure Customer Experience (CXP) team is seeking an Azure Advanced Cloud Engineer 2 to join their ACES Strategic team. This role focuses on supporting strategic Azure customers through incident management, problem resolution, and technical support. You'll be the primary engineering contact for customer support experience, working with Customer Success Account Managers, Cloud Solution Architects, and Azure engineering teams.

As an Advanced Cloud Engineer, you'll be responsible for:

  • Tracking and resolving customer incidents
  • Providing technical troubleshooting and diagnostics
  • Contributing to customer solution lifecycle management
  • Conducting root cause analysis
  • Acting as the voice of customers to product teams
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams

The ideal candidate will have expertise in cloud technologies including:

  • Core IaaS: Compute, Storage, Networking, Kubernetes
  • Data Platform: Azure SQL DB, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL
  • PaaS Services: App Services, Azure Functions
  • Monitoring technologies: Azure Monitor, Log Analytics

Responsibilities For Azure Advanced Cloud Engineer 2

  • Track and resolve customer incidents with minimal oversight
  • Provide technical troubleshooting and diagnostics
  • Identify and flag product issues using engineering tools and customer telemetry
  • Serve as connection point between product team and customers
  • Handle critical escalations and conduct root cause analysis
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve customer issues
  • Channel product feedback from strategic customers to product groups

Requirements For Azure Advanced Cloud Engineer 2

Kubernetes
PostgreSQL
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Data Analytics/Science, AI, or related field
  • 2+ years experience in technology industry, cloud, technical support, or customer experience engineering
  • 2+ years experience supporting enterprise-level applications and infrastructure
  • 1+ years experience with on-call and mission critical incident mitigation
  • Expertise in cloud technologies (IaaS, PaaS, Data Platform, Monitoring)
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check
