Job Description

Microsoft's Azure Customer Experience (CXP) team is seeking an Advanced Cloud Engineer to join their ACES Strategic team. This role focuses on supporting strategic Azure customers through incident management, problem resolution, and technical guidance. You'll be the primary engineering contact for customer support experience, working alongside Customer Success Account Managers and Technical Support Engineers.

As an Advanced Cloud Engineer, you'll be responsible for tracking and resolving critical incidents, providing technical troubleshooting, and ensuring optimal customer experience. The role requires expertise in Azure technologies, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills. You'll work with enterprise-level applications and infrastructure, helping customers implement best practices and stay current with Azure technologies.

Key responsibilities include conducting root cause analysis, providing proactive guidance on Azure solutions, and serving as an escalation resource for complex technical issues. You'll also act as the voice of the customer to product teams, helping improve Azure services based on customer feedback and usage patterns.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in cloud technologies like IaaS, PaaS, and data platforms, combined with excellent customer service skills. You'll need to demonstrate ability to handle critical escalations, work in a fast-paced environment, and collaborate effectively across multiple teams.

  • Track and resolve customer incidents with minimal oversight
  • Engage with strategic customers to understand and troubleshoot issues
  • Use engineering tools and customer telemetry to detect and flag product issues
  • Provide proactive guidance on designing configurations and deploying Azure solutions
  • Handle critical escalations and conduct impact analysis
  • Conduct root cause analysis and drive improvements

Requirements For Azure Advanced Cloud Engineer 2- Japanese Speaking

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Data Analytics/Science, AI, or related field
  • 2+ years experience in technology industry, cloud, technical support, or customer experience engineering
  • 2+ years of experience supporting and troubleshooting enterprise level, mission-critical applications
  • 1+ years of Experience with being on-call and driving mitigation for mission critical incidents
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical issues to varied audiences
  • Japanese language skills required (implied by job title)
