Azure Solutions Engineer - Costa Rica

The Foundations team is responsible for Reliability (Live Site and HADR), Security (including the SFI initiatives), Risk Management, and Compliance for the Xbox Experiences & Platform (Xbox XP) organizations. We provide tools, reporting, automation, and consultation to the engineers and program/product managers across Xbox XP: our customers are the hundreds of engineers in support of the millions of gamers.

We are looking for a Cloud Solution Engineer familiar with Azure Infrastructure and particularly the Power Platform, including the development and implementation of standard engineering practice and security practice in the Power Platform (including but not limited to scalable use of service principals, MISE, etc.). We have a series of applications in the Power Platform (including 50+ standalone flows), and a slightly smaller selection of ICM automations (which are via LogicApps). Additionally, we have a selection of PowerBI reports and accordant queries to be optimized and placed in a repo for a more hygienic approach to reporting, along with clearer data dependency identification.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop, vet, and instantiate a cohesive and current development pipeline for extant and future power platform and ICM/logic apps solutions.
2. Update existing automations solutions with the latest security best practice (beyond minbar requirements).
3. Extend and expand current Logic apps usage and identify and implement bot-to-bot communications capabilities.
4. Implement a repository base for existing and future Pbix reports and their queries, complete with data lineage identification via semantic model data pulls.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years' experience in Azure-based cloud engineering, including the Power Platform and Logic apps.
• 2+ years of experience with data querying languages such as KQL, SQL, Scope, etc.
• 2+ years Azure and Microsoft security infra experience (including MISE and KeyVault)
• 2+ years with the Power Platform particularly PowerBI and Power Automations
• Able to communicate in English in both written and spoken form.
