Description For Critical Environment Instrumentation Engineer

Microsoft's Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is seeking a Critical Environment Instrumentation Engineer (CE IE) to join their datacenter operations team. This role is crucial in maintaining and managing industrial control systems within Microsoft's global network of 200+ datacenters across 32 countries.

The position involves working with mission-critical infrastructure, focusing on maintaining ICS availability, data quality, service management, and security systems in Microsoft's 24/7/365 datacenter operations. The role requires expertise in electrical and mechanical systems, including HVAC, power distribution, and related control systems.

As a CE IE, you'll be responsible for managing and governing Microsoft's industrial control systems, including servers, applications, networks, and device infrastructure. You'll work alongside a dynamic team of IT and Critical Environments professionals, contributing to the core infrastructure that powers services like Azure, Office 365, Xbox, and Bing.

The ideal candidate should have experience in operational mission-critical facilities, industrial controls systems, and building electrical systems. Project management skills with agile methodologies are essential, as is the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining strict deadlines.
