Member of Technical Staff - Data Engineer

Microsoft AI (MS AI) is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to help build the next wave of capabilities of our personal AI, Copilot. The Data Engineering team is responsible for building data platforms that support our work in finetuning and deploying the core experience of Copilot, while collaborating with Product Management, Design and AI Research teams. The ideal candidate will possess technical prowess, methodical problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in data technologies.

You'll be working in a fast-paced environment, building scalable services on cloud infrastructure, developing data warehouse systems at scale, and ensuring optimal performance and security. The role requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively.

This position offers competitive compensation with a base pay range of USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year (higher for SF Bay Area and NYC: $153,600 - $250,200). For senior levels (IC5), the range is USD $137,600 - $267,000 (SF/NYC: $180,400 - $294,000).
