Job Description

Microsoft Silicon, Cloud Hardware, and Infrastructure Engineering (SCHIE) is seeking a Principal Design Verification Engineer to join their team. This role is crucial in Microsoft's expanding Cloud Infrastructure, powering over 200 online businesses including Azure, Office 365, Xbox Live, and Teams.

The position focuses on verification of complex flows at the SOC, subsystem, and IP levels. You'll work with cross-functional teams on architecture, design, and implementation of silicon solutions. The role requires expertise in creating simulation environments, developing tests, and debugging for multiple silicon IP's or systems.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of simulation environment experience, strong background in chip/computer architecture, and expertise in Verilog/VHDL and programming languages. Experience with CPU/graphics core verification, UVM, and hardware emulation is highly valued.

This hybrid role requires 3 days per week in office with some travel (0-25%).

Requirements For Principal Design Verification Engineer

Python
  • Doctorate in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science + 3 years experience OR Master's + 6 years OR Bachelor's + 8 years
  • 7+ years experience in simulation environments and debugging for silicon IP's
  • 5+ years industry experience in chip/computer architecture
  • 5+ years experience in Verilog/VHDL, C/C++, and scripting languages
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check
  • Must meet export control requirements
