Job Description

Microsoft Security is seeking a Principal Engineer to join their Identity Platform Runtime Team within the Microsoft Entra organization (formerly Azure Active Directory). This role focuses on enhancing the Identity runtime platform in terms of developer experience, security reliability, and efficiency for large-scale services.

The position involves working with Kubernetes-based container platforms that set high standards for security, reliability, and efficiency. As part of the team, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing processes for managing large fleets of Kubernetes clusters globally, maintaining live site services, and developing improved operational tools.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of relevant experience and will work in a hybrid environment (3 days/week in office) at the Prague CEE HQ. Responsibilities For Principal Engineer - Kubernetes

  • Work with stakeholders to understand their needs and design solutions
  • Design and Implement processes and tools to operate large fleet of Kubernetes clusters worldwide
  • Maintain live site services, check system health, find improvements, develop better tools
  • Assist with planning work, dependencies, and execution reporting
  • Collaborate with peers, program managers and stakeholders on business solutions

Requirements For Principal Engineer - Kubernetes

Kubernetes
  • At least 10 years relevant experience in program management
  • At least 4 years as a people manager
  • Must pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements
